Sri Lankan Journalist Daniel Alexander Got Roasted Badly By Indian Cricket Fans

Sri Lankan Journalist Daniel Alexander Got Roasted Badly By Indian Cricket Fans: The Indian cricket team kickstarted their 3-match T20I series against Sri Lanka with a memorable win on Thursday. The Sri Lankan cricket team failed miserably while chasing a mammoth target of 200 runs. While the Sri Lankan batters never seemed like they had a chance of winning in the second innings, on the other hand, the Indian bowlers put on a stellar show on display by restricting the visitors to just 136 runs.

Senior bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2/9) gave a stunning start to his side by scalping two wickets in the first two overs itself. Yuzvendra Chahal (1/11), Ravindra Jadeja (1/28), and Venkatesh Iyer (2/36) also gave a brilliant performance as they build pressure on the Sri Lankan batters.

Sri Lanka never looked in the game and they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Sri Lanka scored 137/6 runs in their 20 overs, with Sri Lankan vice-captain Charith Asalanka being the highest run-scorer of the side with, 53* off 47 balls.

That’s that from the 1st T20I.#TeamIndia win by 62 runs and go 1-0 up in the three-match series.

Earlier, riding on the performance of Ishan Kishan (89 runs off 56 balls) and Shreyas Iyer (50* off 28 balls), team India managed a massive total of 199 runs in their 20 overs.

Meanwhile, it was just another bad day for the Sri Lanka cricket team and also for Daniel Alexander, who is getting badly trolled on social media for being a ‘cry baby’ after he shared a Tweet following Sri Lanka’s defeat.

For the unversed, Daniel Alexander is a Sri Lankan cricket fan and a cricket writer. He is very active on social media, where he is infamous for his tweets targetting Indian cricketers. He is often seen insulting Indian cricketers in order to appease his fans.

After Sri Lanka’s defeat, Daniel took to his social media and named a list of players the Sri Lankan team was missing in the 1st T20I. He wrote:

“Kusal Mendis, Danushka Gunathilaka, Kusal Perera, Niroshan Dickwella, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Angelo Mathews, Wanindu Hasaranga, Kamindu Mendis, Maheesh Theekshana, Binura Fernando & Nuwan Pradeep. (Avishka Fernondo, Oshada Fernando) Sri Lanka squad that didn’t play 1st T20I v India.”

Here, check out the Tweet:
