Top 10 Bowling Figures in ODIs:

 




10) ANIL KUMBLE (6-12 against West Indies)

Anil Kumble’s best ODI performance was against West Indies, at Eden Gardens, in 1993. On a turning Eden Gardens track, the West Indian batsmen danced to the tunes of Anil Kumble’s leg-spin. Kumble took 6 wickets for just 12 runs.

9) STUART BINNY (6-4 against Bangladesh)

On 17th June 2014, Stuart Binny, who hasn’t yet cemented his place in Team India, achieved the record of best bowling figures by an Indian in ODI cricket. Binny took 6 wickets against Bangladesh, in 4.4 overs and gave away only 4 runs.

8) WINSTON DAVIS (7 for 51 against Australia)

Former West Indian fast bowler, Winston Davis was at his aggressive best when he took 7 for 51 against Australia in 1983. Winston played 15 Tests and 36 ODI matches for West Indies.

7) AAQIB JAVED (7 for 37 against India)




It was one of the most aggressive spells of best bowling we have ever seen. Aaqib Javed threatened the Indian batsmen with his pace and crafty swing bowling at Sharjah. Aaqib’s 7/37 was the best ODI figures from 1993 to 2000.

6) WAQAR YOUNIS (7 for 36 against England)

There’s a difference of just one run between Aaqib and Waqar, as far as the best bowling figures in ODI cricket is concerned. Waqar’s 7 for 36 against England, is No. 6th in the list.

5) MUTTIAH MURALITHARAN (7 for 30 against India)

Muralitharan bowled a splendid spell of spin bowling against India, at Sharajah. Murali’s spell was a treat to watch as Indian batsmen tumbled against his master class spin bowling.

4) ANDY BICHEL (7 for 20 against England)

Bichel’s spell of 7 for 20 against England in 2003, is one of the best spells of swing bowling we have ever seen. It was a pure master class by the former Australian speedster.

3) GLENN MCGRATH (7 for 15 against Namibia)

Former Australian fast bowler and one of the best swing bowlers to have ever played the game, Glenn McGrath was just too good for the young and inexperienced Namibian batsmen.

2) SHAHID AFRIDI (7 for 12 against West Indies)

Afridi’s 7 for 12 against West Indies in his comeback match is the best ever performance by a spinner in ODI cricket and second overall.

1) CHAMINDA VAAS (8 for 19 against Zimbabwe)

In 2001, Chaminda Vaas took wickets 8 wickets for just 19 runs, and it’s the best ever performance by a bowler in ODI cricket ever.
