West Indies’ legend and one of the best batsmen to have ever played the game of cricket, is sitting on the top of the table. Brian Lara is the only man in the history of the game to score 400 runs in a single innings of a Test match.

Second in the list is Australia’s Mathew Hayden. Hayden broke Lara’s long-standing record of 375 runs and held the record for highest individual score in Test cricket, but soon Brian Lara scored 400 and once again attained the top position.

India’s swashbuckling batsman Virender Sehwag is also in the list.

New Zealand’s skipper is the last batsman to score a triple century. McCullum scored his triple century against India.

This list is full of modern day cricketers. The likes of Chris Gayle, Mahela Jayawardene, Michael Clarke also feature in this list.
