Veteran England seamer Stuart Broad showed his sense of humor while replying to Australian media house Fox Cricket which took a dig at Ollie Robinson as “No. 1 Villian” over his recent actions and words. Robinson has been getting plenty of flak in recent days in regard to the first Ashes 2023 Test at Edgbaston, which Australia won by 2 wickets.
First over his sledging and abusing of Usman Khawaja, then for his interviews in which he took a swipe at Ricky Ponting, and called Australia’s tailenders as three number 11s. Ollie Robinson was trolled mercilessly by Australian media and fans online after England failed to dismiss Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon, the pair adding 55* (72) for the 9th wicket in Australia’s chase of 281 and taking Australia to a 1-0 series lead in Birmingham.
Stuart Broad takes a funny dig at Fox Cricket over “No.1 Villain” tweet

Fox Cricket made a snide at Robinson over his mouthfuls to Khawaja and in the press conferences after Australia won the first Test of the series. The media publication labeled Robinson as “No. 1 villain”.
This triggered plenty of English fans. More so, also, Broad.
Stuart Broad, who was sensational with the ball in Edgbaston and kept England in the hunt for a victory, but failed to take his side to the victory line, caught the attention of this tweet from Fox Cricket and replied back in a hilarious fashion.
English Seamer replied: ‘“No1 Villain?!” I can’t have lost that tag already can I?! Disappointing’

Broad himself is unliked by Australians and many, not least because he’s had some really good spells against Australia in the past and continued it in Edgbaston, but also sometimes for his lip that many reckon runs a bit too much. And the 36-year-old senior pacer himself knows that he cops dislike and trolling often on social media. So this tweet showed his great sense of humor and his self-inflicting joking ability.
Meanwhile, the players will get a full week’s break. The second Ashes Test, at Lord’s, will begin on June 28.
