In a very interesting, and bit of a shocking incident, amid all the trolling of David Warner for getting out to Stuart Broad for the 17th time in Test cricket, joining the trolling bandwagon was Stuart Broad’s father Chris Broad.
What was shocking here was that Chris Broad is an ICC match referee and him taking to social media to have fun at David Warner’s expense was duly noted by the ICC. The governing body then rebuked Chris for his tweet that trolled David Warner. Chris later deleted the tweet, but fans had taken screenshots of it.
Chris Broad has been a match referee since 2003 and is the second-most experienced in the role in Test history.
Stuart Broad’s father Chris Broad had shared this viral meme on David Warner:

The Age has now reported that “Chris Broad has been internally rebuked by the ICC after posting a tweet making light of David Warner’s 17th dismissal by his son Stuart Broad on day two the Headingley Ashes Test.” Chris was told by the ICC that “it was unbecoming of his role as a neutral match official”.
Warner fell to Stuart Broad twice in Leeds, the tally of the dismissal going up to 17th, which is now the third-most times a bowler has dismissed a particular batsman.
Which bowler has dismissed a batsman the most number of times in Test cricket?
Australian seamer Glenn McGrath dismissed England batsman Michael Atherton 19 times in Test cricket, the most a bowler has dismissed a particular batsman. Then Alec Bedser dismissed Arthur Morris 18 times. Curtly Ambrose and Courtney Walsh both had dismissed Atherton 17 times, and now Broad joins this list with 17 wickets of Warner.
The Leeds Test, the third of the series, is tantalisingly poised at the moment. Australia have a lead of 142 runs and are 4 wickets down.
