Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Strongest Playing XI For IPL 2023

IPL 2023 SunRisers Hyderabad

IPL 2023: After two different captains in the last two IPL seasons, and releasing them both, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will have a third new skipper for the third straight season: Aiden Markram, who recently led Sunrisers Eastern Cape to the SA20 title starring with both bat and ball, followed by being named the new South Africa T20I skipper, will be leading SRH in the IPL 2023.

The new and quite strong additions to the SRH squad for IPL 2023 are Mayank Agarwal and Harry Brook, who has taken Test cricket by storm and was part of England’s T20 World Cup winning team.

SRH retained most of their bowlers from the IPL 2022 season, when they finished 8th with Bhuvneshwar Kumar leading the bowling attack alongside the feisty Umran Malik, who had a breakthrough IPL season last year taking 22 wickets, and the off-spinning all-rounder Washington Sundar. Marco Jansen, who was part of the SA20 winning side with SEC might be benched, despite his improved power-hitting with the bat and progress as a death bowler.

SRH have the headache of plenty this time with a number of overseas stars and Indian bowlers hogging the limelight.

SRH strongest predicted XI for IPL 2023:

Mayank Agarwal, Abhishek Sharma, Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram (c), Abdul Samad, Heinrich Klaasen (wk)/Glenn Phillips, Washington Sundar, Marco Jansen, T Natarajan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik

Since they don’t have an established Indian wicket-keeper, one of Klaasen or Phillips will take the gloves, though both known power-hitters in the white-ball format can be in the same XI if SRH bench Brook or Jansen; but since SRH spent INR 13.25 crore on Brook in the auction, he’s likely to start in the first XI and also add firepower to their batting.

Rahul Tripathi and Mayank Agarwal are two experienced, proven IPL players while all-rounder Abhishek Sharma had an impressive season last year.

With injuries and workload management in concern, SRH will rotate their pace attack which also includes Kartik Tyagi and Fazalhaq Farooqi.

Apart from Sundar, the depth of SRH’s spin department is enviable with Adil Rashid, Mayank Markande, and Akeal Hosein in the squad.

Other than all of the known figures, SRH also comprise few lesser-known but talented and in-form Indian players like Vivrant Sharma, Sanvir Singh, and Mayank Dagar.

SRH full squad for IPL 2023:

Abhishek Sharma, Mayank Agarwal, Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram (C), Harry Brook, Abdul Samad, Anmolpreet Singh, Glenn Phillips, Heinrich Klaasen, Upendra Yadav, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Washington Sundar, Vivrant Sharma, Sanvir Singh, Samarth Vyas, Mayank Dagar, Adil Rashid, Mayank Markande, Akeal Hosein, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Marco Jansen, Kartik Tyagi, Umran Malik, T Natarajan, Fazalhaq Farooqi
