Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has made an emotional appeal to PM Narendra Modi as he shared a video of a Kashmiri woman. On Saturday, Raina took to his social media and shared urged PM Modi to listen to the plight of Kashmiri Hindus.

On Saturday, protests broke out in Kashmir after the killing of a Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhat. After this incident, Kashmiri Pandit government employees staying in Veerwan transit camp in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district protested demanding they be moved to Jammu.

While the whole country is devastated by the news coming in from Kashmir, in the meantime, Suresh Raina has also raised the issue related to Kashmiri Hindu. Sharing a video of a woman, he wrote

“प्रधानमंत्री @narendramodi जी से निवेदन है कि मेरी कश्मीरी हिंदू बहन की दुर्दशा को सुनें। हम भारतीयों को कश्मीर में आतंकवाद के पीड़ितों के लिए एक साथ खड़ा होना होगा। उन्हें अकेला नहीं छोड़ सकते। आशा है कि वह उनकी मांगों को सुनेंगे और को सुरक्षित स्थान पर पोस्टिंग करेंगे।”

(This roughly translates to: Prime minister @narendramodi I request you to listen to the plight of my Kashmiri Hindu sister. We Indians have to stand together for the victims of terrorism in Kashmir. Can’t leave them alone. Hope he will listen to their demands and post them in a safe place.)

For the unversed, this video is from the protest, wherein a woman is expressing her agony. In the video, she can be seen expressing her plight by saying “Someone from home goes for duty in the morning and in the evening his dead body comes home. We are facing all this since 1990. We educate the child and raise him to a good position and then this happens to us. We don’t know what our children will do.”
