Suresh Raina Hits Back At Shahid Afridi Over His Controversial Remarks On Kashmir

Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi has created a stir on social media with his controversial remarks on PM Modi and the Indian army. Recently, Shahid Afridi once again raised the issue of Kashmir when he visited the Kashmir (POK) dressed in army fatigues. A video of him has been going viral on social media where he can be heard saying:
“I am in your beautiful village, I am very delighted. I was planning to visit you all from a long time. The world is currently infected by such a big disease. But the bigger disease is in Modi’s mind. Modi deployed 7 lakh soldiers in Kashmir, same as the total strength of Pakistani forces.”


The all-rounder further claimed that the Indian people residing in Kashmir are favoring the Pakistani army. He also promised Kashmiris for a Kashmir based team in the next season of PSL. He had said:
“I’ve been deeply humbled by all the love shown to me by the people of Kashmir. I hope that there will be a team from Kashmir in the next edition of the PSL. If there will be a team from Kashmir, I will want to play for that team”
His video has gone super viral on social media has angered Indians. Several cricketers including Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh have taken to their social media and slammed Shahid Afridi for spreading venom even during this difficult time when the whole world is struggling with the pandemic.

Indian cricketer Suresh Raina also took to his twitter and slammed Shahid Afridi over his controversial remarks. In his tweet, Suresh wrote that he is a proud Kashmiri and Kashmir will always remain an inalienable part of India. He wrote:
“Gosh! What all a person must do to remain relevant! Even more so for a nation that is living on alms. So, better do something for your failed nation and leave #Kashmir alone. I am a proud Kashmiri and it is and will always remain an inalienable part of India. Jai Hind!”
