This isn’t the first time that Suresh Raina has celebrated Dhoni’s achievements like his own. Raina has consistently celebrated Dhoni’s brilliance and has often voiced his support for the former CSK captain.

Recently, Raina shared a moment with Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja ahead of CSK’s tournament opener against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. He visited Chepauk and caught up with his old teammates who were practicing in the nets.

The franchise later shared the video of their meeting on their Instagram account, accompanying the clip with the famous Hindi song in the background, ‘Yeh Dosti Hum Nahi Todenge’, from the Bollywood movie Sholay.

Regarding the match, CSK delivered a remarkable performance against GT at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. After opting to bat first, they displayed impressive batting prowess, especially notable were the performances of opener Rachin Ravindra, captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Shivam Dube, propelling them to a formidable total of 206 runs.

Despite a brisk start to their innings, GT suffered setbacks early on, losing both their openers, Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha, within the first five overs.

CSK’s bowlers, led by Deepak Chahar, Mustafizur Rahman, and Tushar Deshpande, applied consistent pressure on GT’s batsmen, collectively taking six wickets. This impressive bowling effort was key in CSK’s dominant 63-run victory over the former champions. Sai Sudharsan was the top scorer for GT, notching 37 runs off 31 balls.
