The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League is just around the corner and the excitement among the fans is currently at its peak. However, ahead of the league, Chennai Super Kings, which is one of the most successful teams in IPL, received a major blow after their senior player Suresh Raina pulled out of the league. Suresh Raina will be returning back to India.
Suresh Raina has been a vital cog of their batting line-up at number 3 over the years. His exit from the league has come out as a major blow as the preparations of the team were halted after it emerged that 13 members of the team, including two cricketers, were tested positive for Coronavirus.
The CEO of Chennai Super Kings KS Viswanathan released a statement regarding the same via the official Twitter account, where he wrote that the actor has pulled out of the league citing ‘personal reasons’. He said:
“Suresh Raina has returned to India for personal reasons and will be unavailable for the remainder of the IPL season. Chennai Super Kings offers complete support to Suresh and his family during this time.”
While a lot of rumors have been going around social media, the man himself has now revealed the reason behind his exit. Suresh Raina revealed that he preferred the health of the kids to be fine. Suresh Raina confirmed his concerns related to bio-bubble after his team members were tested positive of Coronavirus. He said:
“Nothing more important than kids”
Suresh Raina and his wife Priyanka Raina have been blessed with two kids, Gracia Raina, who is 4-years-old and Rio Raina, who is 5-months-old and it seemed that the couple was worried for their health.
