Suresh Raina, the vice-captain of Chennai Super Kings, recently left everyone heartbroken after he announced his exit from IPL 2020. Following his exit, a lot of rumors and speculations started making rounds in the media stating that Suresh Raina had a fallout with his team. There were many reports stating that Suresh Raina was not happy with the hotel room he got as there was no balcony in it.

However, Suresh Raina has finally cleared the air by calling all these rumors as ‘fabricated stories’. He also hinted at a possible return to the team for IPL 2020.
In an exclusive interview with Cricbuzz, Suresh Raina opened up about his decision to withdraw from IPL 2020. When asked about what prompted him to leave the UAE, he revealed:
“It was a personal decision and I had to come back for my family. There was something that needed to be addressed immediately on the home front.”
He added:
“CSK is my family too and Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni) is very important to me and this was a tough decision. There is no issue between CSK and me. Nobody will just turn their back on Rs 12.5 crore and walk away without a solid reason.”

He further added that he might have retired from the international level of the game but he is still looking forward to playing in the IPL for the next 4-5 years. He said:
“I might have retired from international cricket but I’m still young and I am looking forward to playing for them in the IPL for the next 4-5 years.”
When he was asked about the statements of CEO of CSK – Srinivasan over his exit from the game, he said that he didn’t know the reason earlier. He said:
“He is like a father figure for me and he’s always stood by me and is close to my heart, he treats me like his younger son and am sure a lot is taken out of context. He didn’t know the reason earlier and its all settled.”

He was also quizzed about the ongoing rumors over his fallout with the CSK team due to a hotel room. Rubbishing the rumors, he said:
“These are all fabricated stories and anyone who knows me, knows that these are all stories planted by people who don’t want me or CSK to succeed.”
When asked about if the fans would see him playing this season, he said:
“You never know, you might see me in the camp again. First, I have to take care of my responsibilities here and then am ready.”
Meanwhile, IPL 2020 will kickstart from September 19th in UAE. Though the schedule of the tournament isn’t out yet but the league is slated to begin on 19th September, with the final game happening on 10th November.
