Suresh Raina Tells How CSK Is Different From Other Franchises

MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina have been two of the most loved and cherished cricketers of team India. Recently, both the cricketers left their fans shocked and heartbroken after they announced their retirement from international cricket. While they have bid goodbye to the international cricket, both the cricketers will be soon seen playing for Chennai Super Kings in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League.

Recently, in an interview with cricket commentator and journalist Harsha Bhogle on Cricbuzz, Suresh Raina said that Chennai Super Kings have eleven captains in their squad. Not just this, he called CSK’s skipper MS Dhoni – the King who sits on top and guides them all. He said:

“In our team, everyone is the captain, with Bravo leading the side, Faf is there, Ashwin led the side, MS is there forever. Then we have me, I have led India and in IPL also. I think we have eleven captains but we have a king sitting on the top who knows how to see the bigger picture from behind the stumps,”

I like the set up (of CSK), they are very professional as they take care of players so well,” He added: “Dhoni and I have been together since our early day’s camps in 2003-2004. We used to have camps in Bangalore and we know each other well. I really felt he is the guy who can change the game around and the personality. He helped me, supported my family during tough times.”

He further revealed how MS Dhoni guided during his toughest period. He said:

“He helped me during a tough time in 2007 when I had an operation. The one and half year made me a tougher man and Dhoni guided me during that period as well.”
