India’s swashbuckling batsman Suresh Raina got married to his childhood friend Priyanka Chowdhary on Friday evening in a private marriage ceremony at Delhi. The grand gala wedding held at the Leela Palace hotel attended by few cricketers, politicians besides the family members, friends of the bride and groom. Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni accompanied by his wife Sakshi, ICC chairman N Srinivasan and Raian’s Chennai Super Kings team-mate Dwayne Bravo were the cynosure of all eyes at the do.
Raina and Priyanka have been friends since their childhood and their families also share close bonding for a long time. The couple is expected to throw a grand reception ceremony shortly. Since most of Raina’s friends stay in Delhi, Raina chose to Delhi as the venue for his wedding. Meanwhile, the couple have postponed their plans of honeymoon as Raina is going to participate in the upcoming IPL.
