Suryakumar Yadav has been in some great form for the last many months. He has emerged as India’s most crucial and informed player ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022. While he has been making it big with the bat every time he walks out to play, unfortunately,  Tuesday did not belong to Surya as he perished early for eight off six balls at the Holkar stadium in Indore.

With the Indian cricket team losing two early wickets, Dinesh Karthik was promoted up the order to No.4 – which is the preferred spot of Suryakumar. Dinesh Karthik, who has been finishing matches for India, did a great job at no.4 as well. DK played a stunning knock of 46 runs off 21 balls, smashing 4 fours and 4 sixes at a strike rate of 219.

Impressed by Karthik’s show at the number four position in the third T20I, following the game, Suryakumar hilariously said that his no.4 position is now in trouble while lavishing praises for DK. He said: “DK needed some game time, and I think the way he batted, my number 4 spot is in trouble,”

Talking about Surya, he was on fire for team India in the first two games of the series as he scored back-to-back fifties, for which he earned the Player of the Series award as well. With a strike rate of 195.08 and an average of 59.50, Surya has proved why he is the best t20I batter in the world right now.

All thanks to his back-to-back amazing performances, Surya will travel with the Indian cricket team to Australia to take part in the upcoming edition of the ICC Men’s T20I World Cup 2022 and he said he is looking forward to the marquee tournament. He said: “Haven’t thought about Australia just yet, but it’s a challenge I am really looking forward to,”
