India’s batting sensation Suryakumar Yadav and star all-rounder Hardik Pandya guided India to a hard-fought 6-wicket win over New Zealand in the 2nd T20I match at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Sunday. India has now leveled the ongoing three-match T20I series 1-1 with a nervy 6-wicket win.

During the match, India once again couldn’t accelerate their innings while chasing the target. It took another brilliant knock from Suryakumar Yadav to get the Indian team over the line. SKY smashed the winning runs in the 2nd T20I against New Zealand to help the Indian cricket team. India chased down a target of 100 runs on a tough pitch. He played a gritty knock of 26 runs off 31 balls, smashing one boundary.

Talking about the game, chasing a target of 100 runs, team India got off to a bad start as they lost opener Shubman Gill for 11 runs. The duo of Ishan Kishan and Rahul Tripathi then handled the charge as they smashed boundaries at regular intervals. However, the partnership soon came to an end as Ishan had to walk back to the pavilion, after scoring 19 off 32 balls. In the 11th over of the game, Rahul was dismissed on the stunning delivery of Ish Sodhi.

Rahul Tripathi also walked back after scoring just 13 runs. India kept losing wickets at regular intervals and was looking at a spot of bother. However, the duo of Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya accelerated Team India’s innings as they kept scoring runs. In the last over, team India needed 6 runs to win and SKY slammed a four on the 5th ball of the over and claimed the six-wicket nervy victory for India.
