Indian and Mumbai Indians‘ star cricketer Suryakumar Yadav is one of the most talented batsmen in the Indian cricket team, however, not many are aware of the fact that he can bowl too.
Recently, during an Instagram Live session with MI TV, the former Indian and MI cricketer Parthiv Patel cunningly sneaked in a question for SKY about his bowling. The MI star player revealed that he is ready to bowl if and when required.
SKY recently opened up on his bowling ability and revealed that he still continues to bowl in the nets whenever he gets a chance. SKY admitted he is ready to step up and do his bit with the ball whenever he gets the chance. He claimed:
“Why is he always behind my bowling? No, I have not stopped bowling, I keep bowling in the nets. Whenever I get an opportunity to bowl in the game I will be there. Parthiv bhai don’t worry you will see me bowling soon!”
For the unversed, in the past, SKY used to bowl off-spin and has picked a total of 36 wickets, 24 of which came in First-Class cricket, while the rest of them picked up six wickets in T20 cricket. However, the cricketer stopped bowling in 2014 when his action was reported.
Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav was last seen in action during the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League, which was suspended mid-way after the outbreak of COVID-19 cases within the bio-bubble.
Earlier in March 2021, the cricketer made a stunning debut for the national side during the T20I series against England at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium, Ahmedabad. He smashed a stunning fifty in his first innings for the ‘Men in Blue’.
