Superstar India batsman Suryakumar Yadav turned 33 on September 14, 2023. The Mumbai-born cricketer is one of the best T20 batsmen in the world – arguably the best one at the moment – and got wishes from his fans across the globe.
Suryakumar Yadav is currently in Sri Lanka with Team India as part of the squad for the Asia Cup 2023. And even though he hasn’t been able to translate his T20I success into ODIs so far – average of 24 after 24 ODI innings – Suryakumar Yadav has been named in India’s World Cup 2023 for the tournament at home. Fans are hoping for SKY to do well if he gets an opportunity in the World Cup next month.
Suryakumar Yadav’s Wife Devisha Shetty wrote a heartfelt, emotional post for her “best friend”, her husband on his 33rd name day.
“To my best friend in the whole wide world, I love you more than you can ever know Thank you for being YOU and here’s to celebrating YOU for everything that you are Happiest birthday husband,” Devisha captioned her post on Instagram in which she added some adorable images of the couple.
Devisha and Surya have been married for over six years.
Suryakumar Yadav could get a chance against Bangladesh

India will take on Bangladesh on Friday in Colombo for the last of the Super 4 round match. Since India have already sealed their spot in the final – with wins over Pakistan and Sri Lanka – India could decide to rest some players and give chances to those who are on the bench. Among those who haven’t played a single match in the Asia Cup so far is Suryakumar Yadav,
Since SKY is named in the World Cup 2023 squad, and he needs to better his ODI record, India could given him a chance in the XI on Friday vs Bangladesh and rest the likes of Hardik Pandya, Virat Kohli, and even captain Rohit Sharma.
In the bowling department, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj could be rested to bring in Shami and Prasidh Krishna.
