During his blistering innings of 61 runs, SKY played shots on all sides of the ground. He smashed 6 fours and 4 sixes during his innings. Most of his shots came from lap shots or his trademark scoops over fine leg.

After his terrific performances, several fans and experts started comparing Surya to the legendary South African batter AB de Villiers. In fact, after the match when he was asked about comparisons with de Villiers, Suryakumar Yadav said that there could only be one Mr. 360, and that is AB de Villiers. He said: “There is only one Mr. 360 and I will try to play like him,”

The statement went viral in no time and soon caught the attention of AB de Villiers, who gave the ultimate praise to SKY.

Replying to a Tweet, AB de Villiers hailed SKY for his terrific knock and also claimed that the Indian batter is slowly reaching new levels. He replied: “You’re very quickly getting there dude, and even more! Well played today,” tweeted de Villiers.
