With the experience of hosting only five International matches makes the Perth Stadium one of the youngest stadiums at the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. The Perth Stadium held its first-ever international T20I match between Australia and Pakistan in 2019. Perth recently hosted the England vs Afghanistan match of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022, which was the first game of the Super 12 round.
It has to be noted that the teams batting first have won 13 of the 22 T20 matches in Perth and have racked up 11 180-plus totals. Also, only one game has witnessed a successful 180-plus run chase.
Besides the recently-held England vs Afghanistan match, the stadium will host four more Super 12 games. The Indian cricket team will also play one of its more important fixtures at the venue – against South Africa – on October 30. The Indian side has played only one match in this stadium so far, which was the stadium’s inaugural Test, in 2018 — losing to Australia by 146 runs.

Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift performed live concerts at the Perth Stadium in 2018. In 2018, Premier League side Chelsea played a pre-season friendly against Australian side Perth Glory at this Stadium.
