The BCCI had to lodge a complaint with the ICC after the Indian cricket team and their staff were served ‘cold food’ in their hotel in Sydney, forcing the players to skip lunch at the hotel and order online.
A day before India’s Super 12 round match against Zimbabwe, it was reported that there wasn’t adequate food and whatever was there was not hot enough for the players after the practice session in Sydney, leaving the Indian players unhappy.
“BCCI has told ICC that food provided after practice is inadequate. BCCI has further told ICC – How can you give cold sandwiches after 3 hours of practice for lunch? Sandwiches are not even made, players have to make their own sandwiches. This is not acceptable to us. Problem was in Melbourne and now Sydney. ICC had promised to look into it but hot food is the basic. Why wasn’t it looked at earlier?” sources in the know of developments said.
“There’s inadequate food for players after practice. They had to get food delivered for lunch via Uber/deliveroo which is not acceptable.”
Indian fan trolls ICC like a boss over this food issue

During the India-Netherlands game on Thursday at the Sydney Cricket Ground, an Indian cricket team fan trolled the ICC hilariously with a poster.
This fan brought a poster that read: “HOME MADE TIFFIN SERVICE AVAILABLE FOR INDIAN CRICKET TEAM”
