Namibia stunned the world in the opening game of the T20 World Cup 2022 by defeating the Asia Cup 2022 champions, Sri Lanka, by a massive margin of 55 runs in the preliminary qualifying round game and made a strong foot forward toward the Super 12.
They will next take on the Netherlands, who registered a victory by 3 wickets over the UAE in a low-scoring, last-over thriller in the second match of the tournament. The matches of Group A of this qualifying round are being played at the Simonds Stadium, Geelong.
The winner of the NAM vs NED match will secure a place in the Super 12 round. So both teams are going to give their best to ensure moving forward in the tournament.

NAM vs NED predicted playing XIs
Despite doing a demolishing act of the Asian champions, Namibia might make a change: fast bowler Ruben Trumpelmann missed the Sri Lanka game due to injury; he would come in against the Dutch if he’s fit, but who he would replace is a tough choice because all the Namibian bowlers did well against SL, or they could drop one of the openers to include Trumpelmann.
Netherlands are expected to stick with the XI that won a tight, tense game against UAE.
Namibia predicted XI:
Michael van Lingen, Divan la Cock, Stephan Baard, Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton, Gerhard Erasmus (c), Jan Frylinck, JJ Smit, David Wiese, Zane Green (wk), Bernard Scholtz, Ben Shikongo
Netherlands predicted XI:
Max ODowd, Vikramjit Singh, Bas de Leede, Tom Cooper, Colin Ackermann, Scott Edwards (c & wk), Roelof van der Merwe, Tim Pringle, Logan van Beek, Fred Klaassen, Paul van Meekeren
NAM vs NED Who could be the top performer of the match?
All eyes will be on David Wiese once again. The former South Africa all-rounder has an experience of over 300 T20 matches. He had helped Namibia in the Super 12 last year in the UAE, and once again he will be expected to play the key role for the Associate nation.
Today’s Match Prediction: Namibia to win the match
Namibia boasts of three top-quality seam-bowling all-rounders who provide them enviable batting depth with JJ Smith coming in at number 8. Their bowlers were superb in bowling Sri Lanka out for only 108, and seemed to have grasped the pitch well.
