T20 World Cup 2022 Prediction: Who Will Reach The Final?

Whenever a T20 World Cup is in its full swing, it features a boatload of important questions, the foremost of which is who are two teams who have got all the strength to feature in the grand finale of the tournament? Well as we are witnessing the 2022 T20 World Cup chipping away at its own sweet pace, honestly, so far it’s hard to tell who would be making the cut but maybe making a few assumptions won’t hurt.

So far, after the end of the first round of fixtures, the two most impressive teams have been India and England. Yet, making guesses based on just one game, it genuinely veers off from logic. However, if we are to pick the two finalists, let’s just say that India and England stand out and here is why.

#1 India

Despite the lack of Jasprit Bumrah, the Indian cricket team has some solid firepower in their batting ranks. An in-form Virat Kohli is absolutely menacing while KL Rahul’s form in recent times is a game-changing factor. He probably couldn’t get off to a start in the opener but the kind of impact that he has on the side, is too massive to be ignored. Rohit Sharma somehow has faltered in recent times which isn’t a great sign but at the end of it all, he is a terrific striker of the ball.

From India’s middle order, that is where the real strength beckons and even if two batters out of the rest play out, you know what happened to Pakistan. India’s bowling unit has so far shown promise and the kind of impact that they are able to showcase, especially on the bouncy surfaces of Australia, well, there won’t be any hesitation about the deadly effect that they bring to the tournament.

#2 England

The English line-up has started bearing fruits of its recent aggression and it is so far a treat to witness them play. They have shown courage, they have shown guts and more importantly, they have shown confidence that has been replicated rarely. Now in a tournament like this, momentum is the key to greater things and England has been carrying it since from Pakistan.

They have a deep batting line-up featuring the likes of hard hitters like Jos Buttler, Dawid Malan, Liam Livingstone, and even Harry Brooks has shown tremendous promise. Despite Reece Topley dropping out due to injury their all-rounder ranks including the show from their fast bowlers have reaped handsome rewards on the pacy tracks of Australia. Going by the aforementioned keynotes, the English contingent can very well think of putting up a grand showdown in the finale.
