T20 World Cup 2022: Sachin Tendulkar Posted An Important Message For The Indian Cricket Fans

Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar has come out in support of the Indian cricket team after the team suffered an embarrassing 10-wicket defeat at the hands of Jos Buttler’s England at the Adelaide Oval in the semis and got knocked out of the tournament.

After England won the toss and chose to bowl first at the Adelaide Oval, India put a score of 168 on the board. While the other batters put up a mediocre performance, it was Hardik Pandya, who gave a much-needed boost to the Indian side. He played an incredible inning of 63 in 33 balls which included four boundaries and five sixes helping India make up for a slow start.

However, the Indian bowling unit had a day to forget as Jos Buttler and Alex Hales launched an assault on the entire Indian bowling unit. They put up a sensational partnership and snatched the spot for final showdown away from India.

Meanwhile, following India’s defeat, as the Men in Blue were getting criticized and trolled left, right and center on social media, Sachin Tendulkar took to his social media and posted a message for the fans. In his Tweet, Tendulkar reckoned that fans should keep backing Team India after their exit from the T20 World Cup 2022. He shared how a coin has two sides and so does life. He wrote:

“A coin has two sides, so does life.
If we celebrate our team’s success like our own then we should be able to take our team’s losses too…
In life, they both go hand in hand.”

Following the match, speaking at the post-match presentation, Rohit said that despite batting well in the dying stage of their innings, team India failed because of their disappointing bowling performance. Jos Buttler started off brilliantly by smashing Bhuvneshwar Kumar for three fours in a row in the first over, after which England didn’t look back. Rohit said:

“It’s pretty disappointing how we turned up today. I thought we still batted pretty well at the back end to get to that score, but we were not good enough with the ball. It was definitely not a wicket where a team can come and chase it down in 16 overs. With the ball we didn’t turn up today,”

He added: “When it comes to knockout stages, it’s all about handling the pressure. Depends on the individual as well. You can’t teach anyone to handle pressure. When these guys play the playoffs in the IPL and all that, those are high-pressure games, and they’re able to handle it. The way we started with the ball was not ideal,”

The England cricket team will now face Babar Azam’s Pakistan in the final showdown on Sunday at the Melbourne Cricket Ground
