’63 Not Out Forever’: Fans Remember Phil Hughes On His 8th Death Anniversary

November 27, 2022, is the 8th death anniversary of Australian batsman Phillip Hughes, who died in a sad accident on the field while batting in a domestic game in 2014. Fans on the internet remembered the left-handed talented batter and the gem of a person Hughes was by trending #63NotOutForever on Sunday.

The world of cricket received the terrible news that Phillip Hughes died, at the age of 25, after being hit by a bouncer on the side of his head, below the helmet, while batting in a Shield game in Sydney.

Batting for South Australia against New South Wales, Hughes was batting on 63* when he missed an attempted hook to pacer Sean Abbott, causing a cerebral hemorrhage. He was rushed to the hospital from the SCG and underwent surgery, and was then in an induced coma before passing away. Hughes played 26 Tests for Australia and scored three centuries, and a total of 26 first-class centuries after debuting for NSW at the age of 18, and later played for South Australia.
