IPL 2017 has seen some stellar performances with the bat and ball. We have see many great individual performances in the tournament so far and hopefully there are many more to come. In this post, Rohit Nair lists the best XI of IPL 2017 so far. These players have been picked on the individual performances and impact they have had on their team’s success.

Here’s the best playing XI of IPL 2017 so far:

David Warner:

The Aussie hitman is at it again, scoring a mammoth 489 runs in 10 innings to give SRH a strong chance of advancing to the playoffs.

Gautam Gambhir (c)

The captain of KKR, Gambhir has really found his form this IPL, scoring 387 runs in 10 innings to place KKR at the top of the heap in the points table.

Robin Uthappa (wk)

Another forgotten Indian star, Robin Uthappa closely follows his captain with 384 runs in 9 innings to make this a memorable tournament already for the Bangalore boy.

Steven Smith:

The most in-form batsman in the world right now, Steven Smith has carried a sometimes tired RPS top-order over the finish line more than a couple of times now.

Nitish Rana

The young Mumbai Indians batsman has been in outstanding form in the tournament. He has scored 312 runs in the tournament so far and contributed massively towards Mumbai Indians’ success.

Ben Stokes

The English all-rounder played one of the most spectacular IPL knocks in the match against The Gujarat Lions. He scored his maiden IPL hundred and took RPS to victory almost single-handedly. He has also taken 6 wickets at an economy of 7.62, so far.

Rashid Khan:

The Afghan teenager has really made waves this year, with 12 wickets and some really impressive spin bowling.

Andrew Tye:

Despite playing just 6 matches, Andrew Tye really made himself count with 12 wickets that included a superb hat-trick against the KXIP.

Mitchell McClenaghan:

The Mumbai Indians pacer has 15 wickets, most of which have helped Mumbai Indians stay at the top of the table.

Imran Tahir:

The veteran Imran Tahir has shown his worth for RPS, picking up 16 wickets  and bowling some really economical spells in the middle overs.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar:

The current purple cap holder can do no wrong, picking up 21 wickets at a superb economy of just 6.6 runs an over.
