There is a big ‘Sanju Samson or Rishabh Pant’ debate going among Indian cricket fans, these days. Both, Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant, are extremely talented young cricketers and there is a problem of plenty as the selectors and team management want to back Pant and give them more opportunities despite his failures, especially in white-ball cricket.

Rishabh Pant made a good start to his Test career by scoring brilliant hundreds at home and overseas, but in the last 10 months or so, he has been going through a tough phase and struggling to score runs as freely as he can. But, the Indian captain Virat Kohli has always put his weight behind Pant and picked him over any other wicketkeeper-batsman.

In the ongoing T20I series against West Indies, a big section of Indian cricket wants to see Sanju Samson in the playing XI in the third and final T20, which will be the series decider. We, at The Cricket Lounge, ran a poll on our Facebook page in which more than 1200 Indian cricket fans participated, and the result is overwhelmingly in the favor of Sanju Samson.

We asked:

Should Sanjay Samson replace Rishabh Pant in the third T20I?

76% of the voters believe that Rishabh Pant should be dropped from the playing XI and Sanju Samson must feature for the series decider. Have a look, here:
