The IPL has just concluded with Rohit Sharma and the Mumbai Indians going on to lift the trophy for the third time. There have been some real finds in the tournament but there have been a few who have let their team down. Here is the flop XI of the IPL:

Chris Gayle:

Not a name that anybody would have expected to find on this list, but sadly Chris Gayle had a terrible IPL in a very, very long time. He scored only 200 runs in 9 games at an average of 22.22.

AB De Villiers:

Another legend of the IPL who failed to get going this time around, AB De Villiers managed to score just 216 runs in the 9 games. He did have a back injury due to which he missed two games. He will be disappointed and fans will look forward to a super IPL next year.

Dwayne Smith:

The explosive West Indian had a tournament to forget, with just 239 runs in 12 matches and 2 wickets. This is the least he has scored in any IPL and his performances hurt the Gujarat Lions.

David Miller:

David Miller had a reputation as a South African who could hit big and was perfect for the IPL. This season he could only manage 5 games and scoring a paltry 83 runs before being dropped from the team.

Shane Watson:

The RCB all-rounder had another disappointing IPL this year with just 71 runs in 5 games and 5 wickets overall for the Bangalore team. He will find it hard to get a franchise next year.

Naman Ojha:

The wicket-keeper for the SRH, Ojha was expected to contribute with the bat too, but failed. Even though he came in late for most innings, his 79 runs in 5 innings is not great reading for any batting fan.

Ravindra Jadeja:

Having played IPL for so long, everyone expected Jadeja to score big this year too. He only managed 152 runs in 12 matches with 5 wickets and ended his tournament as the Gujarat Lions bowed out early.

Amit Mishra:

The leg-spinner could not get the wickets his team needed due to which he features on this list. He only got 10 wickets from 14 games, something not expected from a bowler of his caliber.

Tymal Mills:

One of the most expensive buys this IPL, Mills was expected to tear apart opposition batsmen. He only managed 5 wickets in 5 games and was eventually dropped.

Ishant Sharma:

The lanky pacer was another one who disappointed. He played 6 games for the team and managed 0 wickets. He is seen as a test specialist and these numbers don’t do him any favours.

Stuart Binny:

Always a polarizing player, Binny had a bad IPL and scored a poor 78 runs from 7 innings, going to show that he is not the all-rounder India is looking for.
