The Greatest Cricket Selfie, wordpress-706604-2345306.cloudwaysapps.com

Cricket’s version of the Oscar selfie, that was posted on Twitter, during the MCC vs ROW match, is one of the best things that has ever happened to cricket lovers.

The picture is full of legends, and the best part is– they are all smiling.

After staring at the picture for 5 minutes, my mind started wandering like a nomad.

From Sehwag’s terrorising stance to Lara’s enthralling backlift. From Sachin’s joyful straight drives to Rahul’s mesmerising square cuts. From Murali’s doosra to Warne’s magic. From Yuvraj’s courage to KP’s flamboyance; my mind juts couldn’t stop thinking.

This picture is like a beachside shack situated far away from the dusty and noisy highway of power hungry politics, fixing and corruption.

Dravid, Lara and Tendulkar

Three of the greatest batsmen ever to have played the game of cricket are standing together in this picture. This part of the picture can be named as- THE TEXTBOOK OF BATTING

Warne and Murali

SPIN KINGS are also sitting together. The corner where these two legends are sitting, can be named as THE ENCYCLOPAEDIA OF SPIN!

Yuvi and Gilly

Two most effortless and clean hitters of the cricket ball. They always have a smile on the face, but when batting, they can be as destructive as any bomb.

Viru, Afridi and KP

If you are a bowler, this part of the picture is VERY SCARY. These three are not batsmen, they are FREAKS. They hit fours and sixes for fun. They don’t use bats, they use hammers. This part of the picture can be named as THE DANGER ZONE!

***

There are more players in this pictures, but I have just picked my favorite parts and corners.

For me and millions of cricket lovers, this selfie is THE GREATEST SELFIE EVER.

So, this is #GELFIE
