The Untold Love Story Of S Sreesanth

Shanthakumaran Nair Sreesanth is one of the most under-appreciated talents in Indian cricket history. The Kerala-based fast bowler joined the senior team in 2005, and in the next six years, Sreesanth won two World Cups with the team. He played a pivotal role in India’s 2007 T20 World Cup triumph. Four years later, he came into the playing XI as a replacement and bowled an excellent spell in the World Cup final.

Unfortunately, his career derailed when the reports surfaced that he was a vital member of the 2013 IPL spot-fixing scandal. As per the sources, Sreesanth had accepted money to bowl no-balls deliberately. BCCI banned him for life, but a few years later, they reduced the ban to seven years. During his time off the field, Sreesanth took part in several reality shows.
He transformed his physique, worked in movies, and also finished runner-up in Bigg Boss 2018. Sreesanth even became a member of the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP). While most of his fans know about these details, they may not know much about his love story.
The Untold Love Story Of S Sreesanth
During a recent interview, his wife, Bhuvneshwari Kumari, told the reporters that the Indian fast bowler had come as a special guest in her school. Pakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar also accompanied him. She narrated the whole incident as follows:
“All the girls were madly happy with Sreesanth’s arrival. I did not like him at first. But, the next day I saw him at the stadium. Co-incidentally, he spotted me at the venue. Our next meeting happened at the dining table. He asked my phone number, but I denied it. Eventually, I left the table after writing my number on a tissue paper, telling him that I would call to congratulate him if he performs well.”
Kumari’s cousin loved Sreesanth. Gradually, the two came close to each other. He loved her poetry and promised her that if he wins the 2011 World Cup with the Indian team, he would not think about anything and come to her house asking for her hand. India lifted the World Cup after 28 years, and Sreesanth went to her home soon. The pair got married in 2013. Thus, in this manner, Sreesanth’s love story had a happy ending.
