These 5 batsmen hit no sixes in their ODI careers

Modern day cricket has become a batsman’s game. From big bats to small boundaries, the balance of the game has shifted massively towards batsmen. Not long ago, scoring 300 runs used to be a winning score but now teams back themselves to chase even 400. In this post, we look at 5 batsmen who didn’t smash even a single six in their ODI career.

1) Callum Ferguson (Australia)

Callum Ferguson made his debut for Australia back in 2009 and has played 30 ODI matches so far. Ferguson, who scored 663 runs at a 40-plus average with 5 half-centuries, has never smashed a six in One Day International cricket.

2) Geoffrey Boycott (England)

England’s batting legend Geoffrey Boycott scored more than 1000 runs in his One Day International (ODI) career but didn’t smash a single six. Boycott scored 5 half centuries and a hundred in his ODI career.

3) Thilan Samaraweera (Sri Lanka)

Sri Lanka’s Thilan Samaraweera played 53 One Day International (ODI) matches for Sri Lanka and scored 862 runs. Samaraweera also scored 2 hundreds but didn’t even smash a single six in his 42 innings.

4) Dion Ebrahim (Zimbabwe)

Zimbabwe’s Dion Ebrahim played 82 One Day International (ODI) matches and scored 1443 runs. Ebrahim scored one hundred and 4 half centuries but didn’t smash a single six.

5) Manoj Prabhakar (India)

Former India all-rounder played 130 One Day International (ODI) matches and scored 1858 runs in 98 innings. Prabhakar scored 2 hundreds and 8 fifties for India in ODIs. But, like 4 others mentioned in this post, Prabhakar also didn’t smash even a single six in his ODI career. Prabhakar was also a part of the Indian team in the 1987, 1992 and 1996 World Cups.
