Indian Premier League has become one of the greatest leagues in the world. In the last decade we have witnessed so many talented cricketers making it big because of their brilliant performances. Every team, every player have their own history.
This year as well, we witnessed so many young talented players, making it tough for the top players in the league. While on the other hand, many great players disappointed us with their poor performances.
As the world cup 2019 is just around the corner, many players need to regain their forms however, these five players who might loose their spot in the world cup squad, have a look:
1.Manish Pandey:
Manish Pandey was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for a whopping amount of Rs.11 crores, however he has not given any great performance yet. He has only scored 158 runs in the eight matches the team has played till now.
His position in the squad is on a risk to get replaced by the players like Ambatti Rayudu and KL Rahul who are giving exceptional performance in the league.
2. Mohammad Shami:
Mohammad Shami has been surrounded by a lot of controversies lately. Apart from this, he hasn’t been able to deliver any notable performance for his team Delhi Daaredevils in the ongoing league. And as far as ODI’s are concerned many young players like Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshvar Kumar, are giving great performances in the ongoing league, they have a higher chances to be a part of the league.
3.Axar Patel:
Axar Patel was the only player who was retained by the Kings XI Punjab team. However, he wasn’t included in the playing XI of the team and wasn’t able to give any performance in the match. On the other hand, there are many young spinners who are impressing everyone with their techniques.
4. Washington Sundar:
Washington Sundar became Man of the series in the recently concluded Nidahas Trophy. His debut with Rising Pune Supergiants last year, witnessed a great performance by him. However, in this league, he hasn’t performed that great enough to be considered for the World Cup squad. On the hand, players like Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, Prithvi Shaw, who are from the u-19 team gave an exceptional performance.
5. Jayadev Unadakat:
Before the league, in the auction Jaydev became the highest bid Indian bowler in the history of the league, he was bought for Rs. 11.5 crores by Rajasthan Royals team. However, he hasn’t done justice to the price paid to him. In the eight matches, he has taken 7 wickets only.
