These Two Cities Will Host The Entire Season Of IPL 2021

The 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League is approaching faster than ever. The BCCI is busy planning out the entire season- IPL 2021  in India this time in a bio-bubble environment. The previous edition of the IPL was played in the UAE as the Coronavirus situation in India was pretty serious during that time.

Although the situation is pretty much under the control in the country, however, a few states have seen a spike in the number of cases. Therefore, there are high chances that this time the tournament will be conducted at a handful of venues.

As per Parth Jindal, the co-owner of Delhi Capitals, Mumbai is the frontrunner to host all the league stage matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, while on the other hand,

Well, speaking to ESPNcricinfo after the recently concluded IPL 2021 auctions, Parth Jindal said that as per the discussions, Mumbai could host the league stage matches as it has three grounds and enough practice facilities for the teams. He said:

“At the moment there are discussions to host the league matches in four stadia in Mumbai — Bradbourne Stadium, Wankhede Stadium, D.Y. Patil Stadium and the Reliance Cricket Stadium. The play-offs are expected to be held in the refurbished Sardar Patel Stadium in Motera,”

He added:

“However, this is yet to be made official. The tournament is likely to be hosted either in mid-April or the second week of April,”

These Two Cities Will Host The Entire Season Of IPL 2021

Meanwhile, as per the sources, IPL 2021 will kickstart in the second week of April. Ongoing India vs England series is scheduled to end on March 28 and the players will be given enough time to rest before the start of the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League.
