Two legendary cricketers, former Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar and former South African skipper AB de Villiers, were involved in a funny conversation on Twitter on Thursday.
This dialogue exchange started when the Twitter handle of cricket.com.au shared a video of Shoaib Akhtar becoming the first bowler to break the 100 MPH speed limit when he bowled to Australia’s Shane Watson in 2002 to which Watson expressed recalled this delivery that sniffed past his helmet.

Akhtar took the appreciation from the South African and replied lauding AB de Villiers, adding that it has been fun for him to have interacted with the Protea batter.
“Come on AB, you’ve given sleepless nights to many bowlers yourself. Always a pleasure interacting with you,” Akhtar tweeted.
Then the conversation took an interesting turn as AB de Villiers recalled that the Rawalpindi Express almost injured him after he had pulled the fast bowler for a maximum in Centurion.
“Haha. Good old days! U almost broke my leg at Supersport Park in my early twenties after I decided to pull u for 6. The minute it hit my bat I knew it was a big mistake,” AB tweeted.

Surely, now fans expected an interesting response from the Pakistani champions pacer. And he did – sharing a video of their encounter in the UAE when AB failed to middle his pull on a short ball from Shoaib Akhtar, inside edging it onto his sticks.
“Not every pull went for a 6 though. Hahaha,” Akhtar responded with the video.

Some fans, however, didn’t like this response from Shoaib Akhtar, saying that AB had praised him but still he derided the South African legend.
