The Indian cricket team are currently on their tour to England for the upcoming five-match Test series. The Indian cricket team recently played  a three-match T20I and a three-match ODI series against the hosts, where they won the T20i series and lost the ODIs series to the hosts.

There is a lot of anticipation and excitement revolving around the big tournament. Ahead of the series, the Indian cricket team played a three-day practice game against Essex at the County Ground in Chelmsford in order to get themselves prepared for the upcoming Test series.

Although, the overall performances of Indian cricket team have been very impressive, their batting has been found wanting on a few occasions. Shikhar Dhawan, the opener of Indian cricket team couldn’t quite contribute in the T20I series having scored 19 runs in the series. In the ODI series as well, he started off well but couldn’t leave a mark. He also flunked in the warm-up matches.
