Pakistan started ICC Champions Trophy 2017 on a weak note after defeat against arch-rivals India in their first match of the tournament. India outplayed Pakistan in all three departments of the game and registered a thumping win to start their campaign.

But, after the first match, Pakistan regrouped and gave a couple of brilliant performances to reach the semi-final round of the tournament. Pakistan are a very unpredictable tournament and they have surprised one and all with their brilliant gameplay after their demoralising defeat in the first match of the tournament.

In the first semi-final of ICC Champions Trophy 2017, Pakistan’s bowling unit surprised the host nation England, with some brilliant bowling. Pakistan’s ace bowler Mohammad Amir was rested for this match due to an injury but his absence wasn’t felt as other bowlers stepped up and restricted England to just 211 (all out) in 50 overs.

This Is The Biggest Reason Behind Pakistan’s Brilliant Performance Today

It was a great effort by Pakistan’s bowlers but there one that stood out and that is— Pakistan’s fielding. Pakistani cricketers are not known for their fielding. In fact, they are one of the worst fielding sides in the world. In their first three matches of ICC Champions Trophy 2017, Pakistani fielders dropped many catches and allowed the game slip away from their reach.

However, they should a lot of improvement in the semi-final against England. Pakistani fielders fielded and caught brilliantly and supported their bowlers brilliantly. No catch was dropped, and this is a  BIG news already.

At the time of posting this article, Pakistan are 98-0 after 16.4 overs and looking all set to reach the final of ICC Champions Trophy 2017.
