This Is The Reason Why RCB Players Wear Green Jersey Every Year

Every year, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) play one of their matches wearing green jersey. In the match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Sunday, RCB wore their famous green jersey and the entire Chinnaswamy stadium was turned into read and green, and it was a great spectacle for fans in the stadium and all those who watched it on their television screens.

This is a part of an ongoing initiative by the franchise since 2011 to promote their “Go Green” initiative. By wearing green jersey every year, RCB have been doing this to create awareness about global warming. They have also been taking part in initiatives to plant trees in Bangalore. RCB’s star players like Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Chris Gayle and others also made appeal to fans to use public transport.

During last year’s IPL, RCB players participated actively in this campaign and commuted to the stadium on cycle while CNG rickshaws were put in place for the fans.
