Virat Kohli, the Indian cricketer has been giving sleepless nights to the bowlers around the world with his incredible performances since a long time now.Virat Kohli has set the benchmark for batting with his unprecedented consistency across formats.

The way he is making and breaking records, has left everyone in awe of him. Fans never get tired of comparing him with the legend, Sachin Tendulkar. However, the fact or the major debatable points that sets Sachin Tendulkar apart from everyone else is the quality of bowlers at that time.

Although, there’s no deny to the fact that Virat Kohli has faced some top-class bowlers like faced the likes of Mohammad Amir, Mitchell Johnson, and James Anderson and has given them sleepless nights but these bowlers cannot match the stature of Glenn Mcgrath, Wasim Akram, Shoaib Akhtar, and Courtney Walsh.

Recently, on the popular talk show ‘Breakfast with Champions’ hosted by Gaurav Kapur, Virat Kohli opened up about the bowler that he saw playing and thought that it would be better to be at the non-strikers end, when he is bowling.

Well, the bowler was none other than Rawalpindi Express, Shoaib Akhtar, one of the finest bowlers of Sachin Tendulkar’s era. Talking about him, he said :

“I never faced Shoaib Akhtar but I saw him bowl in Dambulla. Even in the latter part of his career, he looked lethal. After watching Shoaib Akhtar, I thought when he was at his peak, would’ve been better to be at non-striker’s end when he was bowling,”
