Kings XI Punjab went into the auctions having retained just one player in Axar Patel which means they had a big purse to walk into the auctions with. Kings XI Punjab has made some spectacular purchases and they have got themselves a really good batting side.

The Kings XI Punjab have got themselves a great batting line-up or rather a pretty handsome one in terms of T20 reputes that these purchases by Kings XI Punjab hold.
Aaron Finch, KL Rahul, Yuvraj Singh, Manoj Tiwary, Karun Nair, Chris Gayle, David Miler, Marcus Stoinis and Mayank Aggarwal. Doesn’t this look like an affluent batting line up? This forms a perfect combination of international T20 sensations along with some really talented Indian players.
They have got themselves a great opening pair in Aaron Finch and Chris Gayle who have spectacular strike rates in T20 cricket and can blast the opposition on will.
Then the middle order would have the experience of KL Rahul, Yuvraj Singh, Manoj Tiwary and Karun Nair. They have also made a smart move in using the Right To Match for the useful all-rounder Marcus Stoinis.
The Kings XI were keen to have KL Rahul and they did not shy away from spending 11 crores for the batsman who would now be ending his romance with the Royal Challengers Bangalore to join the Kings XI Punjab. They also got the ace spinner, Ravichandran Ashwin for 7.6 crores which are a surprising buy.
