Former Australian all-rounder Tom Moody has named his preferred 15-member squad of Team India for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023, which is scheduled to be played in India from October 5 to November 19.
No Place For Suryakumar Yadav?

Tom Moody has picked a well-balanced squad for the Indian cricket team. One of the major highlights from his 15-member squad is the absence of T20I batting superstar Suryakumar Yadav. However, he has picked leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, who has been ignored for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023 squad of India.
In a video on Star Sports, Tom Moody picked his Team India’s squad consisting of 15 members that he would like to see at the World Cup 2023. While naming his preferred Team India squad for World Cup 2023, Moody said:
“I believe India has got probably one of the hardest tasks in finalizing their 15 of all the playing nations in the World Cup.”
Tom Moody Has Picked A Well-Balanced Team
Moody’s team was on expected lines with Rohit Sharma leading the team. The star-studded batting line-up includes Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan. While there is no place for Suryakumar Yadav but Tom Moody has picked wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan, who has an average of 46.26 from 17 ODIs, with one hundred and six fifties.
Moody has also picked Axar Patel and Shardul Thakur as all-rounders along with Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja. The sensational duo of Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav have also made the cut.

Meanwhile, the Indian cricket team is currently sweating it out ahead of the Asia Cup 2023, which will be played in a hybrid model in Sri Lanka and Pakistan from August 30th. Team India will begin their Asia Cup 2023 campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on September 2 in Kandy.
