Top 10 Funniest Tweets After Day 1 Of The 2nd Test

It was another tough day at the office for the Virat Kohli-led Indian team on the first day of the Second Test at Christchurch. After winning the toss on a fairly green deck at Hagley Oval, New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson won the toss and decided to bowl first. The Indian batters were yet again put to test against New Zealand’s new-ball pairing of Trent Boult and Tim Southee. After an awful outing in the first Test, Prithvi Shaw adapted better in conditions that were conducive for seam bowling. The opening duo of Mayank Agarwal and Shaw gave India a quick start before Agarwal was adjudged lbw to Boult on a very full delivery for a score of 7. However, Prithvi continued to play his shots and was largely successful in attacking the Kiwi bowlers. On the other hand, Pujara eased his into the innings without facing much trouble from the bowling attack. India were poised comfortably at Lunch with 84 for 2 in the first session. However, skipper Kohli was dismissed immediately after lunch as his lean patch continues to haunt his poor form on this New Zealand tour. Soon after, even Rahane made his way back to the pavilion as the visitors stumbled to 113 for 4. Top 10 Funniest Tweets After Day 1 Of The 2nd Test With four down, India were yet again staring down at a first innings collapse. However, the duo of Pujara and Hanuma Vihari pulled the team out of trouble with an 81-run stand. Vihari fell after a well-compiled 55 on the last delivery before the Tea break. What followed was a similar lower-order collapse as the tourists lost the plot from being 193 for 4 to get all-out for 242. For Kiwis, Kyle Jamieson bagged his maiden fifer just in his second Test match. The Kiwi openers made a steady start and were instrumental in returning unscathed at the end of the day’s play. In 23 overs, New Zealand scored 63 runs with both the openers going unbeaten at Stumps on Day 1. With another disappointing outing with the bat in the first innings, Twitterati didn’t leave any stone unturned in trolling the Indian players for yet another poor show. Here’s a look at top 10 funny tweets after first day’s play at Christchurch:
