India’s captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is world’s richest cricketer. Dhoni, according to Forbes, has retained the number 1 spot in the list of richest cricketers, since 2009.

India’s newly-appointed Test captain Virat Kohli, is just behind Dhoni, with a net worth of $46 million.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is the richest and the most powerful board in the world. Indian cricketers are paid more than any other playing nation. In this list of top 10 richest cricketers, there are 6 Indians, and top 3 are Indians; MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir.

Australia’s Shane Watson is at the number 4 spot due to his huge demand in IPL and other domestic T20 leagues across the world.

India’s swashbuckling opener Virender Sehwag is out of action, but he is still at the no. 5 spot in the list.

Pakistan’s T20 captain Shahid Afridi is at the no. 6 spot. Afridi is one of the most loved cricketers in Pakistan and he endorses many big brands there.

India’s opener Rohit Sharma, who is also the captain of Mumbai Indians, is at the no. 7 spot in the list. Rohit also endorses many big brands in India, including MRF.

Australian captain Michael Clarke is no. 9 in this list.

The big Jamaican, Chris Gayle, is at no. 9 spot in this list. Gayle is arguably the most demanded player in T20 leagues across the world.

India’s all-rounder Suresh Raina, who is the most capped player in the Indian Premier League (IPL), is at the no. 10 spot. Raina is also the one of the highest paid cricketers in IPL.
