With the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 just around the corner, the International Cricket Council (ICC) recently released the full schedule for the highly anticipated tournament. The tournament will kickstart on October 8th with a game against Australia.

While every game in the tournament holds significance, the ICC has unveiled top-5 clashes of the upcoming tournament.

1. England vs New Zealand (5th October):

The tournament opening clash between England and New Zealand is a re-match of the 2019 World Cup final, one of the most memorable trophy matches in the history of the World Cup. The game will take place on 5th October at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

2. Bangladesh vs Afghanistan 7th October):

Bangladesh, who are called the dark horses of the tournament, has proven to be a difficult team to beat on surfaces that are friendly to them. Bangladesh will play their tournament opener against Afghanistan on October 7th.

3. India vs Australia (October 8):

The Indian cricket team will kickstart their ODI World Cup 2023 tournament with this thrilling game against Australia at Chepauk. The tight battle between the two teams will take place on October 8th.

4. Australia vs South Africa (October 13th):

South African will be giving their all to move on from the humiliating 2019 World Cup, where they won only 3 out of their 9 games. Led by Temba Bavuma, Proteas will lock horns against Australia on October 13th in Lucknow.

The most-awaited clash of the year – India vs Pakistan will take place on October 15 in the highly charged atmosphere of the Narendra Modi Stadium.
