The Caribbean Premier League’s 2020 edition is all set to kickstart from today. Though the tournament will take place behind closed doors, however, the excitement among the fans is still growing. 5. Chadwick Walton:
Chadwick Walton, the right-handed Jamaica batsman is the fifth one on this list of leading run-getters in the tournament. In 73 games he has played, he has amassed 1779 runs. Chadwick Walton slammed nine half-centuries at a strike-rate of 121.68, with the highest individual score is 94*. Besides this, he has amassed 173 boundaries and hit 79 maximums.
In CPL 2020, Walton can be seen playing for Jamaica Tallawahs.
4. Johnson Charles:
Johnson Charles, the wicket-keeper batsman is the fourth one in this list of leading run-getters in CPL. In 68 games he has played in CPL, he has amassed 1842 runs with a strike rate of 130.36 and with an average of 27.90.
He has also hit 9 half-centuries, with his highest individual score of 97. In his CPL career so far, he has scored 160 fours and 80 sixes. In CPL 2020, he will be playing for Barbados Tridents.
3. Andre Fletcher:
The West Indies big-hitter comes third on this list of run-scorer in the tournament. In 66 matches he has played so far, Andre Fletcher has scored .1870 runs at a strike rate of and an average of 31.16 in the league.
He slammed 11 fifties and has also smashed 148 boundaries and 84 maximums. In CPL 2020, Andre will be playing for St Lucia Zouks.
2. Lendl Simmons:
Simmons is the second-highest run-getter in the league. In 71 games he has played so far, he has scoed 2080 runs at a strike rate of 120.09 and an average of 33.01 in the tournament. He has also scored 16 half-centuries in CPL and has scored 168 fours and 105 maximums. In CPL 2020, he will be playing for Trinbago Knight Riders.
1. Chris Gayle:
One of the greatest T20 cricketers, Chris Gayle is leading the list of highest run-getters in the team. He has amassed 2354 runs in 76 games at an average of 39.23 and a strike rate of 133.44 in the tournament, He has also hit the most numbers of runs in the tournament – 162 sixes. Chris Gayle pulled out his name from CPL 2020 for unknown reasons.
