Cricket is an outdoor sport which needs a lot of physical strength and stamina. The great thing about the sport is that you can excel at it, even if you are a bit short in height. There is a misconception that only athletes who have a good height can do well in sports, but many cricketers have proved this theory wrong.
These cricketers have been been able to rub shoulders with best in the business despite their height. They managed to do that thanks to the enormous amount of hard work on the game and fitness. In this article, we will look at the shortest cricketers in the history of international cricket.

5. Gundappa Vishwanath – 5 feet 3 inches:

A lot of fans and pundits rate Gundappa Vishwanath as one of the greatest batsmen of his generation. While he was short in height, he stood like a pillar at the crease as the opposition had to toil hard against him.
The elegant batsman represented India in 91 Tests, scoring more than 6000 runs in the process. He also represented the Indian team in the first two editions of the World Cup. While he had a huge array of shots, the pundits especially remembered for his ability to play square cuts.
