2017 has been the batsmen’s show all along. 4 players have scored more than 1000 Test runs this year and this stat speaks for the fact that 2017 has belonged to the willow. It’s been a run my feast for batsmen especially for Indian batsmen.

But there have been some magical bowling spells too and loads of test wickets picked up by bowlers. It would be harsh to the bowlers to leave out their achievement in test cricket in 2017. So here’s the list of bowlers with most test wickets in 2017. With more than 50 test wickets this year these bowlers made it to top 5 bowlers with most test wickets in 2017.

1. Nathan Lyon

The Aussie spinner is at top of the list. Nathan Lyon is still playing the Ashes but as of yet he has 57 wickets from 9 matches. His best in an innings is 8/50 which is amazing.

 

2. R Ashwin

The Indian ace spinner became the fastest to 300 test wickets in the series against Sri Lanka. Ashwin has picked up 56 wickets from 11 matches in 2017. His best in an innings has been 6 for 41.

3. Kagiso Rabada

The young South African bowler has emerged as one of the finest pace bowlers in modern day cricket. Rabada has had a really fruitful year as he has picked up 54 wickets from 10 matches. 6/55 is Rabada’s best in an innings this year.
4. R. Jadeja

Sir Jadeja is fourth on the list in fact shares the third spot with Rabada. Jadeja too has 54 wickets from 20 matches and his best performance in an innings is 6/63.
5. Rangana Herath

The Lankan spinner is the greatest endorsement of the fact that age is just a number. Hearth has picked 52 wickets this year by trapping the batsmen in his web of spin. He has played 11 Tests this year and his best performance has been 6/43.
