Top 7 Run Scorers In ODIs For India In 2017

India has had a long and successful home season all throughout the year. Runs have been scored in plenty by the Indian batsmen on their home grounds and it’s been a delight to watch them get all this runs.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have had a hefty gathering of runs coming their way in 2017. But what about others? How many runs did Indian batsmen other than Kohli and Rohit get? Here’s a list of the leading run scorers for Indian in ODIs this year.
1. Virat Kohli

Of course he had to be on the top of the list. He’s on top of every batting list rather. The 29 year old Indian captain has had a great year and made 2818 runs this year across all formats. This is the third highest in a calendar year ever.

Virat has piled up 1460 ODI runs this year at a staggering average of 76.8 and has 6 ODI centuries to his name this year.
2. Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma is leading team India in the ODI series against Sri Lanka in the absence of Kohli. Rohit too has bada great year as he has scored 1078 runs in 2017 at an average of 63.4 and this also includes 5 ODI tons.
3. Shikhar Dhawan

Top 7 Run Scorers In ODIs For India In 2017

Gabbar has scored 792 runs at an average of just above 41. Shikhar Dhawan was the leading run getter in the 2017 Champions Trophy even though India lost the finals. Dhawan has hit 2 centuries this year and 5 half centuries.
4. MS Dhoni

Top 7 Run Scorers In ODIs For India In 2017

The former Indian captain has scored 781 runs this year and this is a huge tally given the number he plays at. He averages 65 and in the first ODI against Sri Lanka in which India was thrashed miserably, Dhoni showed once again why he’s so special.
5. Ajinkya Rahane

Rahane has had a disastrous test series against Sri Lanka. However in ODIs this year he has got 586 runs at an average of 48.8.
Rahane has played only 12 ODIs this year while Kohli and Rohit have played 26 and 19 respectively.
6. Kedar Yadav

Top 7 Run Scorers In ODIs For India In 2017

Kedar Yadav has got 561 runs from 25 matches this year. He also got hundred this year but presently he’s been ruled out of the side owing to an injury. Kedar Yadav’s average in ODIs this year is 40 which is decent.
7. Hardik Pandaya

Top 7 Run Scorers In ODIs For India In 2017

The dynamic all rounder has cemented his place in almost no time. Hardik has been a really valuable addition to the team. Hardik Pandya has scored 549 runs in ODIs this year at an average of 36.
