The Top Seven Venue

Melbourne Cricket ground

One of the top athletic venues in the world, the historic Melbourne Cricket Ground is situated in Australia’s sporting capital and has a rich history and legacy. The MSG, which opened its doors in 1853, has played host to some of Australia’s greatest moments. Test cricket matches have been played there since 1877, and one-day international matches since 1971. The MCG, which has a seating capacity of 1,00,024, will be the Centre of attention among all the World Cup sites because it will host some of the championship games this year.

Adelaide Oval

Despite recent improvements to raise the capacity and improve the facilities, the Adelaide Oval continues to rank among the most scenic Test venues in cricket. With the steeple of St. Peter’s Cathedral in the background and it is surrounded by gardens and trees, it has a distinctly English atmosphere. The western public and member grandstands, the renowned scoreboard, and two newsstands completed in 2003 have increased the capacity to 34,000 (for football) and 32,000 (for cricket) respectively.

Sydney Cricket Ground

An organization that manages several athletic venues in Sydney, Australia is called the Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground Trust (often referred to as the Sydney Cricket Ground Trust). The Sydney Cricket Ground and Sydney Football Stadium are run by the SCG Trust and are in Moore Park in eastern Sydney.

The Gabba

The ground’s location was designated as a cricket field in 1895, and Parliament and The Press played there for the first time on December 19, 1896. A ball was never bowled in the first Sheffield Shield match at the Gabba, which was supposed to take place between January 31 and February 4, 1931. Between November 27 and December 3, 1931, Australia and South Africa played the inaugural Test at the Gabba.

Kardinia Park

The Melbourne Renegades played the Sydney Sixers in a doubleheader of Big Bash League and Women’s Big Bash League matches on January 3, 2018, with the Renegades triumphing in both games. The stadium was confirmed to be one of the locations for the 2020 ICC T20 World Cup, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the competition was moved to October 2021 and will now be hosted by the United Arab Emirates and Oman.

Perth

The venue, which is Australia’s third-largest stadium overall with standing space, has a capacity of 61,266 spectators (after the Melbourne Cricket Ground and Stadium Australia).

It is one of the amazing and beautiful venues for the T20 World Cup, The Perth Cricket Ground’s field is renowned for having a level surface that makes it easier for batters to score runs. Due to the small boundaries down the ground, bowlers, especially pacers, typically try to avoid bowling full-length deliveries. The Western Australia cricket team, which has won the Marsh One-Day Cup and Sheffield Shield 16 times apiece, plays their home matches at the Perth Cricket Ground.

Bellerive Oval

In 1987, the administrative center for Tasmanian cricket moved from the former TCA stadium on Queen’s Domain in Hobart to the lovely Bellerive Oval on the Derwent River’s eastern bank. The stadium has three main stands: the Southern Stand, which can hold 5800 people, and the Members and Players Pavilions.
