Top Players Who Are Injured Form Each Team Ahead Of T20 World Cup 2022

England, Australia, India, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan were forced to change their World cup squad even in warm-up matches.

Tymal Mills& Topley England

He has been succeeded by Tymal Mills, a traveling reserve player on the team.

Injury had limited Mills’ time with the team in 2021, even though he had played a significant role in England’s T20 World Cup campaign. In preparation for the exhibition game against Pakistan, Topley rolled his ankle when walking on a boundary cushion during a fielding exercise. Topley’s exclusion from the competition in Australia because of the injury proved to be a major setback for England. Dushmantha C

Meanwhile, the injury to star pacer Dushmantha Chameera, who was subsequently replaced in the squad by Kasun Rajitha, has dealt Sri Lanka a significant setback in their bid to advance to the Super 12 stage. However, there are other injury-related headlines from the camp.

Jasprit Bumrah is out of the T20 Squad due to a back injury, while Jadeja has been ruled out due to a knee injury and it has created huge pressure on team India in the T20 World cup.

Josh Inglis Australia

Inglis hurt his hand while playing golf in Sydney on Wednesday and the reigning T20 World Cup champions have decided to take no risks with the 27-year-old and have removed him from their 15-player squad.

The loss of Inglis opens the door for Cameron Green to continue his meteoric recent rise in international cricket, with the 23-year-old joining the squad after impressing at the top of the order during Australia’s T20I (Twenty20 International) series in India last month.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s Afghanistan

Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s scans revealed no signs of a fracture, and he is anticipated to be ready to play in Afghanistan’s T20 World Cup opener against England on Saturday in Perth.

Shaheen Shah Afridi’s swinging yorker struck Gurbaz, 20, in the left foot during Afghanistan’s warm-up game against Pakistan on Wednesday at the Gabba, which ended in a no-result due to the rain.

After receiving medical attention, he was carried off the field and later seen with a protective boot on his left foot. The Afghanistan Cricket Board announced in a statement that he had been cleared of a major injury after being taken to the hospital for scans.

Asif Ali Pakistan

Asif Ali was forced to leave the area on foot. It is still unknown if Asif can get fit with Pakistan’s first game against India at the MCG less than away.

In the T20 format, Asif Ali has been a crucial component of Pakistan’s middle-order batting. Shaheen Shah Afridi just overcame his knee ailment from earlier this year, which saved Pakistan from a significant injury concern before the World Cup.
