A Pakistani Businessman Trolled PCB With A “Blank” Offer

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja has made some controversial statements recently. Ramiz Raja has asserted that the country needs a flourishing cricket economy. He feels that the time has come for the PCB to become self-sufficient and to not rely on the International Cricket Council (ICC) for funding.

Recently, while speaking to Ramiz Raja made the remarks during a meeting with the Senate Standing Committee on Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC), Ramiz Raza said that PCB runs on 50% of the funding from the ICC, while the ICC receives it’s 90% of funding from India. Therefore, Raja feels that if India stops funding ICC one day, there are chances that PCB might collapse. He said:

PCB runs 50% on the funding of ICC whereas 90٪ of funding to ICC comes from India. I’m afraid if India stopped funding ICC, then PCB might collapse and that’s a reality because PCB gives 0% funding to ICC. I’m determined to make Pakistan Cricket strong,”

Not just this, Raja also claimed that a blank cheque is ready for the apex cricket board of Pakistan if the Green Army beats Virat Kohli-led team India in the upcoming T20 World Cup. The Virat Kohli-led side is set to reignite their epic rivalry with their arch-rivals Pakistan in the 2021 edition of the T20 World Cup, which will be hosted by the BCCI in the UAE and Oman. He said:

The only message I want to give to our #T20WorldCup squad is ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ because there can’t be any bigger slogan than Pakistan Zindabad ever.”

Meanwhile, team India will kickstart their T20 World Cup campaign against Pakistan on October 24 at the Dubai International Stadium.
