Babar Azam Surpassed Virat Kohli As He Achieved A Huge Milestone During PAK vs SL Test

Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, achieved a huge milestone in international cricket on Sunday during the first Test match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka at the Galle International Stadium. Babar became the fastest batter from Asia and eleventh overall from his country to cross 10,000 runs in international cricket.

Babar Azam achieved this big record during his sensational knock of 119 runs off 244 balls in Pakistan’s first innings against Sri Lanka. Azam is now the fastest batter from Asia to get 10,000 runs in International cricket, surpassing the record of Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli, who had achieved this record in 232 innings.

Babar is the fastest Pakistani batter to reach the 10,000 run mark in international cricket, He achieved the big record in 228 innings. He also surpassed legendary batter Javed Miandad’s record of 248 innings.

West Indies legend Vivian Richards tops the chart in this regard, after having scored 10,000 runs in just 206 innings during his glorious career.

Babar Azam is the fifth fastest batter in the history of international cricket to reach the milestone in 228 innings. The other five on the list are: Joe Root (in 222 innings), Hashim Amla (217 innings), and Brian Lara (220 innings), and Viv Richards (206 innings).

Talking about the ongoing Pak vs SL, Babar Azam played like a lone warrior and was dismissed after scoring 119 runs off 244 balls. His knock was laced with 11 fours and 2 sixes. All thanks to his stunning knock, Pakistan was able to post a total of 218 runs after suffering a horrible batting collapse.
